In the US, Prosper Insights & Analytics has extended a partnership with international think tank Fung Global Retail & Technology to launch a co-branded Amazon Shopper Intelligence service, highlighting and explaining the online giant's 'encroachment' into different retail sectors.
The partners says the service will combine Prosper's insights 'missing from most retailers' loyalty data', measuring and explaining Amazon's march into different areas, with special analysis by Fung helping retailers and investors understand the threat it poses.
Sources include more than ten years of data on Amazon and Amazon Prime shoppers, and those of leading retailers; the Prosper Shopper Preference Share, looking at growth in eleven different merchandise categories; retail positioning maps; Net Promoter Scores; and key demographics. Data will be updated every month, new analysis added weekly, and alerts are available when new data is added.
