Co-founder Magid Abraham Leaves comScore

December 6 2016

comScore co-founder Magid Abraham has resigned from the company's Board of Directors, to concentrate on his role as Executive Chairman of wearable technology developer APX Labs.

Magid AbrahamPrior to setting up the firm in 1999, Abraham (pictured) founded customer relationship marketing systems firm Paragren Technologies (now part of Siebel Systems); and was President and COO of Information Resources Inc, (IRI), where he worked for a decade, latterly as Vice Chairman. In July, he resigned as comScore's Executive Chairman, but said he would remain on the Board for the remainder of his term, which would have expired in 2018. In a statement, comScore said Abraham's responsibilities at APX Labs, along with his involvement with other companies and his continuing research and lecturing work at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, limit his ability to continue to contribute to the comScore Board at 'the level to which he aspires'.

Gian Fulgoni, the company's co-founder and CEO, added: 'Magid has long been a prolific inventor of new analytical applications in the information technology arena and I have no doubt that he will bring the same creative genius to APX Labs that he brought to comScore. We will miss him but I wish him every success in this new chapter of his distinguished career'.

In March, comScore announced that it was investigating irregularities in its accounts, and the firm finally released the results of the audit in September, having failed to file reports in the meantime and been threatened with suspension by the exchange. The audit committee found that comScore had improperly recorded 'nonmonetary transactions' and that it would have to reinstate three years of results. At the time, former CEO Serge Matta left the company, and was replaced by Fulgoni.
