Datameer Hires Christian Rodatus as CEO

In the US, big data analytics firm Datameer has hired industry veteran Christian Rodatus as Chief Executive Officer.

The company offers a self-service Hadoop big data application, which includes a point-and-click analytics tool and a drag-and-drop visualization solution. Last year, Datameer closed a $40m round of funding, which it is using to expand its teams across all business units and to accelerate global expansion plans.

Rodatus (pictured) joins with a twenty-year background in the analytics sector. After leading several divisions at Teradata, he drove the market introduction of SAP's real-time insight and personalization platform HANA. More recently, he was EVP of Enlightened, which provides Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for commercial real estate clients. In his new role, Rodatus replaces founder Stefan Groschupf, about whose future a spokesperson for the company told DRNO there is 'no news to share at this time'.

Commenting on the appointment, Executive Chairman Mark Burton said: 'Datameer is hitting a critical stage of growth as modern BI platforms are becoming fundamental for both new and established companies. Christian's international track record for building and scaling sales and service organizations makes him uniquely qualified to capitalize on the success Datameer has already seen.
