New Funds and Chairman for BI Firm Numetric

January 3 2017

In Utah, USA, Busines Intelligence provider Numetric aims to accelerate its expansion after securing $3.75m, including $1.5m in December from EPIC Ventures. It has also appointed Greg Butterfield as Chairman.

Numetric offers 'fast and flexible' data management allowing simple queries from non-technical staff, and can be used as a standalone or alongside other DMPs (data management platforms). Core user bases are in retail, education and transportation, with state governments and educational institutions among its clients.

EPIC's successful investments include Ancestry.com, also based in the state.

Butterfield's experience in enterprise systems management software spans more than a quarter of a century, including board and advisory roles for firms including Omniture and InsideSales. He worked as CEO, President and Chairman at IT lifecycle and infrastructure company Altiris, which went through IPO and was bought by Symantec; and recently served as CEO of Vivint Solar. He is also an advisor to customer experience firm MaritzCX.

Numetric founder and CEO Robert Sweeney comments: 'Our mission is to transform the future of business intelligence by making business data instantly consumable by everyone who needs it. We provide a platform that's unbelievably fast and intuitive so that any business user, not just data analysts, can get the answers they need from their data and apply it in new and meaningful ways'.
