comScore Names New Legal Chief as Lin Departs

Media measurement firm comScore has appointed Carol DiBattiste as 'General Counsel & Chief Privacy and People Officer'. She will join the company on January 23rd, succeeding Chris Lin.

Carol DiBattisteDiBattiste (pictured) joins with a background in legal, compliance, enterprise risk and change management across both the public and private sectors. Most recently, she worked at the US Department of Veteran Affairs as Executive in Charge, Vice Chairman of the Board of Veterans' Appeals. Earlier, she worked for the Education Management Corporation; held senior roles at Geeknet, Reed Elsevier/LexisNexis and ChoicePoint; and was a Partner in the international law firm Holland & Knight. Her public sector work has included senior exec roles in the Departments of Defense, Justice and Homeland Security, and she served as the Under Secretary of the US Air Force, Department of Defense, where she led a $70 billion, 710,000 military and civilian department responsible for recruiting, training and education, and readiness.

Lin joined comScore in 2001, after holding several government positions, both at the Department of Defense and the White House.
