Brandwatch Offers Access to 'Unlimited Historical Data'

January 18 2017

Brighton, UK-based social media intelligence specialist Brandwatch has launched a customisable tool called 'Unlimited Historical Data', allowing users to view 36 months of trends, benchmark their work, check for seasonality, and better understand current activity.

Pat PhelanThe company, which was launched in 2007 and has additional offices in New York, San Francisco, Berlin, Paris and Singapore, archives millions of social media conversations each day and provides users with the tools to analyse them. The new tool uses the Twitter decahose (which uses a real-time sampling algorithm to randomly select 10% of the Twitter Firehouse), along with Brandwatch's archive of online conversation, in order to fill dashboards with historical data. The firm says Brandwatch Analytics users can collect three years of historical data, from hundreds of millions of sources, on any topic, in just a few minutes.

Pat Phelan (pictured), EVP of Global Customer Success, comments: 'Discovering exactly what consumers think about the latest new hair trend, for example, is almost impossible to do quickly, without a reliable backlog of historical data. With Unlimited Historical Data, clients can collect as much historical data as they want, providing them with literally billions of categorised and segmented consumer opinions'.
