In Australia, insights consultancy fiftyfive5 has hired Todd Eldridge for the newly created position of Director of Advanced Analytics, while Tomo Murakami joins as Data Strategist.
fiftyfive5 was launched in Sydney, Australia in 2010 by three former Directors of The Leading Edge: Karen Phillips, Mark Sundquist and Darren Kemp. Earlier this month, the company expanded into retail strategy, category management and shopper insights, appointing Sue Temple as Director Shopper and Category, and Peter Firth as a Consultant.
Eldridge joins with a twenty-year research background. Most recently, he worked at brand development and consumer insights agency GalKal for more than six years, rising to Head of Advanced Quant Research. Prior to this, he was a Senior Consultant at TLE (formerly The Leading Edge), specialising in advanced quant techniques; and a Marketing Scientist at Colmar Brunton. In his new role, Eldridge will focus on broadening the firm's analytics capability and working across a number of client relationships to deliver commercial insights.
Murakami joins the Analytics team with a background in quantitative data collection and DP gained from roles at companies such as Cross Marketing Group, SSI and Research Now across countries including Australia, India, The Philippines, Singapore and Japan. At Fiftyfive5, he is tasked with driving data quality through enhanced supplier management; and improving internal processes.
Sundquist says of the news: 'These appointments reflect the increasing importance of data integrity and advanced analytics in delivering commercial insights from data, regardless of the source of that data. At the same time we continue to enhance the strength of our consulting capabilities with two major senior hires in Cori Hodge who joins us from EY Sweeney and Alessandra Tonei from Jigsaw'.
