Accenture to Buy Digital Agency SinnerSchrader

Professional services company Accenture has agreed to buy a majority stake in digital agency SinnerSchrader, which focuses on the development of digital products and services, analysis of online user behaviour, and software and web site design.

Founded in 1996 by Oliver Sinner and Matthias Schrader (pictured) in Hamburg, SinnerSchrader also offers ad data and analysis technologies, ad retargeting, marketing communications services, and mobile app development. The firm has additional offices in Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, Prague and Hanover, and employs a team of more than 500.

Accenture will buy 62% of shares in SinnerSchrader AG from Schrader, CFO Thomas Dyckhoff and other shareholders, at EUR 9.00 per share; and will launch a public tender offer for all remaining shareholders at the same price. SinnerSchrader and Accenture Interactive will jointly develop 'digital transformation solutions' through a combination of consulting, design and technology; and the partnership will strengthen Accenture Interactive's customer experience design capabilities, as well as its development of digital strategies and mobile offerings.

Schrader will retain his role as CEO, and after an initial period will lead the joint digital agency business of Accenture Interactive in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
