Funds from Nectar Founder for Targeting Firm Ecrebo

Reading, UK-based point of sale consumer targeting specialist Ecrebo has raised £12m in an investment led by Air Miles and Nectar founder Sir Keith Mills, and former Warburg Pincus Head of Europe, Joseph Schull. Both will join the firm's Board of Directors.

Hassan Hajji and David VernonFounded by Hassan Hajji and David Vernon in 2010, Ecrebo helps retailers to deliver targeted offers and messages to customers at the checkout alongside their till or digital receipt. Since its launch, the Ecrebo platform has processed more than £35 billion in transactions for retailers such as M&S and Waitrose, and delivered over 800 million personalised offers.

The new funding will be used for product and technology development, and for global expansion with a particular focus on North America. The funds will also be used to recruit new staff. Existing investor Octopus Ventures also participating in the investment round.
