In New York, entertainment technology and audience insights provider TiVo has hired former AudienceXpress President Walt Horstman as SVP and General Manager, Analytics and Advertising.
Horstman (pictured) spent the past four years at programmatic TV ad platform AudienceXpress, where he led a team developing and executing on business and data strategy, drove deployment of the platform with both TV ad inventory partners and buyers, and developed the firm's product strategy and roadmap. Prior to this, he spent six years at former AudienceXpress parent company Visible World, which provides advertisers with targeting and customization solutions (both firms were acquired by telecoms company Comcast in 2015). Earlier, he held senior positions at Cablevision and Accenture.
In his new role, Horstman will lead TiVo's Analytics and Advertising team, while overseeing deliverables across the company's product roadmap, and managing overall business group operations. He will report to EVP and COO Pete Thompson, who comments: 'As an accomplished executive with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, Walt brings renewed perspective and deeply relevant experience to TiVo's analytics and advertising offerings. His diverse background and industry knowledge surrounding data-driven insights and advanced TV advertising make him especially well-suited for this role and we're thrilled to have him on-board to further our analytics strategy'.
