ISR Debuts 'Flash Discrimination' Sensory Service

April 7 2017

In New York, the Institute for Sensory Research (ISR) has launched a service for consumer packaged goods companies called 'Flash Discrimination Testing'.

Avishan AmanatEstablished in 2000, ISR offers full service domestic and global sensory research, as well as sensory panel services such as client-site panel training and management. Its new service is based on standard discrimination testing methods, which are used for determining if two products are different from one another, through the evaluation of specific sensory aspects of the product. The service taps into ISR's existing, acuity-screened discrimination panel, enabling manufacturers to screen up to six products within a session with full results in as little as 48 hours.

Director Avishan Amanat (pictured) comments: 'CPG manufacturers find themselves under mounting pressure to develop cost efficient products faster than ever. This new service was designed to respond to challenging market conditions and time constraints. Our clients need creative sensory approaches. We can leverage our sensory panels and research facilities to provide those solutions'.
