Healthcare Data Firm SHC Hires New President

In New York, healthcare data collection firm SHC Universal has appointed former GLG exec Phil Sofia as company President.

The firm collects data for the healthcare, public opinion and market research sectors, and offers access to panels of patients, consumers and more than two million healthcare professionals, for qual and quant research. Sofia (pictured) was most recently General Manager of the EMEA New Markets division of NYC-based professional learning specialist GLG, and headed up GLG's Life Sciences practice in North America - leading teams that provided customized market research, diligence support, and primary research to pharma and medical device execs. He previously spent nearly a decade at member-based advisory firm CEB, and he held several global commercial and general management roles in the market research and advisory services industries across his nearly twenty-year career.
