NGDATA Buys Data Strategy Consultancy Eccella

May 17 2017

Consumer intelligence specialist NGDATA has acquired New York-based business data management and analytics consultancy Eccella for an undisclosed sum.

Meitav HarpazFounded by Gil Rosen in 2010 and with offices in London and Mumbai, Eccella helps organizations to develop and adopt data-driven strategies. Its techniques include machine learning and statistical modelling, with predictive models helping to tie actions to their impact on operations. The company also builds analytical systems through which users can discover, use and visualize data.

NGDATA says the buy will enable it to rapidly grow its presence in the UK and North America, while both companies' customers will benefit from access to data-focused talent and expanded industry expertise. In January, NGDATA raised $9.4m in venture funding, for use in general expansion and acquisitions. The deal with Eccella follows the October acquisition of Rednun, which specializes in creating personalized and data-driven video to optimize customer engagement, and the 2013 takeover of big data and business analytics provider ENQIO.

Meitav Harpaz (pictured), Eccella CEO, comments: 'We work with organizations across the world to help them develop, deploy and execute their data-driven strategies by implementing end-to-end, data-based solutions. For our customers, NGDATA's advanced data platform and team of data specialists complete our offering for the entire lifecycle of the data, from strategy, through data preparation, data integration, data quality, mastering, governance and visualization, all the way to advanced analytics and insights'.
