REDD Intelligence Names New CEO

In the US, emerging market news and analysis platform REDD Intelligence has promoted co-founder Valeria Girimonte to Group Chief Executive, managing the business from its offices in Silicon Valley and New York.

Founded in 2013, REDD uses an online platform and a suite of mobile applications to deliver real-time news and analytics on more than 1,400 emerging market companies. Girimonte (pictured) previously served as COO, having earlier worked for FT-owned Mergermarket as Head of Emerging Market Research, and as Head of Latin America & EMEA Research for the FT's Debtwire.

In her new role, she will oversee REDD's global operations and strategy, working closely with the sales, marketing, analyst and editorial teams to consolidate its position in Latin America, foster growth in Asia, and drive global expansion. She replaces co-founder Gabriel DeSanctis, who is now CEO of REDD Intelligence Asia in Singapore.
