US marketing services agency Periscope has acquired data-driven business Anthem Marketing Solutions for an undisclosed sum.
Chicago-based Anthem offers a range of diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics, and also has experience in database marketing, journey mapping and loyalty services. It offers a Customer Insight Engine which helps draw customer behavioral data from external business systems such as sales, billing or call center systems; and a Transaction Insight Engine used to analyze and interpret customer transaction activity.
Periscope says the buy will help it expand its own data and analytics capabilities. Anthem's founder John Keenan will join Periscope's executive committee in the newly created role of EVP/Marketing Analytics, leading the analytics team from Chicago; while Partner and COO Chris Carroll will become MD of the Chicago office.
