4A's Names New Media and Data Practice Leader

July 12 2017

In New York, ad industry trade association the 4A's has hired Louis Jones as Executive Vice President, in charge of its Media and Data Practice.

Louis JonesFounded in 1917, the 4A's provides leadership, advocacy and training services to 740 member agencies across 1,400 offices, controlling more than 85% of total US advertising spend. Jones (pictured) joins after a career which began at J. Walter Thompson, and has since held numerous leadership roles, including serving as the CEO, North America, for Maxus for nearly five years and Director of Global Excellence at Havas Digital. Prior to joining the 4A's, he spent two years consulting with marketing and media clients.

In his new role, he will oversee 4A's media-related committees and task forces, while serving as liaison with industry associations - specifically ANA and IAB - to lead efforts that address industry-wide issues such as brand safety, cross-media measurement, transparency and best practice in programmatic buying. He replaces Bill Tucker, who left in January and now serves as EVP of the Association of National Advertisers (ANA).

President and CEO Marla Kaplowitz comments: 'Louis started at the 4A's in March on an interim basis and quickly became an integral part of the team. He has worked to identify internal and external opportunities, including a new focus for the Media Leadership Council, and has fostered positive relationships with partners. Louis will be a great asset to our team as this practice continues to grow and evolve to meet our members' needs'.
