Maru/edr Hires Retail and Financial Services MDs

In the UK, customer experience specialist Maru/edr has appointed Damian Miller and Ross Durston as Managing Directors for its Retail and Financial Services divisions, respectively.

Formed when eDigitalResearch was acquired by insight and advisory services provider MARU Group earlier this year, Maru/edr offers a range of solutions including customer experience management, voice of the customer (VOC) feedback, and multichannel consumer insight. Last November, the firm opened an office in New York, serving North America.

Miller joins from Survey Solutions, where he served as AD for the past two years, leading a team of analytic consultants delivering customer and employee engagement research programs, and heading the Marketing and Sales functions. Prior to this, he worked for cloud-based customer experience optimization platform InMoment as Client Service Director - CEM; spent more than six years at Nielsen as Client Team Leader; and was Head of Market Information at magazine distributor Frontline.

Durston was previously Senior Insight Director at Nectar loyalty card owner Aimia, in charge of a team of eleven insight managers and analysts. Before this, he was Senior Customer Insight Manager at cruise company Carnival UK; Clubcard Insight Manager at Tesco; and Trade Insight Analyst at Tesco's US grocery store chain Fresh and Easy Neighborhood Market.

In his new role, Miller is tasked with bringing feedback and data 'to life' for retail clients, applying sector knowledge and commercial context to help with strategic decision making. Durston will play a part in Maru/edr's insight delivery and advisory services, with a focus on financial services organisations.
