J.D. Power Names First Chief Digital Officer

In the US, auto research specialist J.D. Power has hired Bernardo Rodriguez for a newly created position, Chief Digital Officer.

Bernardo RodriguezNow owned by private equity firm XIO Group, J.D. Power conducts customer satisfaction surveys, buyer behaviour analysis and product quality audits for clients in the automotive and other sectors. Rodriguez (pictured) joins from full-service digital strategy and technology services agency Huge, where he served as MD of Strategy, working on the design and execution of product and brand strategies, enterprise transformation and innovation projects. Before this, he was MD at management consultancy Accenture, leading the firm's North American Digital Strategy Practice for Telecommunications, Media and Technology; and he was Chief Digital Officer of education and career services specialist Kaplan Test Prep.

In his new role, Rodriguez will be responsible for new product development, branding, marketing and mergers and acquisitions; and for the design and content of J.D. Power's digital interface with clients and consumers. He will report to President and CEO < 9198>Finbarr O'Neill, who comments: 'Bernardo is an accomplished business leader with proven experience to accelerate transformation of businesses through the development of data and analytics, strategic products and capabilities that drive growth opportunities. He has the ideal background to integrate various data sources into a holistic view of the consumer'.
