Critical Mix Europe Hires Former Lightspeed Execs

US-based sampling and data collection provider Critical Mix has appointed former Lightspeed execs Matt Shepherd and Jon Williams as Sales Directors in its London office.

Previously known as reinvention, Critical Mix was launched in 2012 by Greenfield Online veterans Hugh Davis and Keith Price. In 2013, it bought SurveyMonkey's ZoomPanel community, which it has since combined with its own online panel sample in the US, UK, France, Canada and Australia. Shepherd joins with more than twenty years' industry experience. For the past six years, he worked at WPP digital data collection arm Lightspeed, latterly as Director, Media EMEA. Before this he worked for research technology and panels firm GMI (Global Market Insite) as MD, Sales UK, France and Southern Europe, prior to its acquisition by Lightspeed in 2011. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly a decade at Mintel.

Williams was previously a Key Account Director at Lightspeed GMI, where he worked for more than seven years. Prior to this, he worked at talent management insights firm CEB (now owned by Gartner) as European Sales Exec, AD, Legal and Compliance Practice; and he held senior roles at research and strategic consulting company Pierre Audoin Consultants, media communication technology and analytics firm Cision, business information provider Datamonitor, and financial information specialist Primark Datastream ICV.

In their new roles, Shepherd and Williams will be responsible for furthering the development and expansion of Critical Mix in the European marketplace.
