Purchase Data Panel and Apps Roll Out in UK

September 18 2017

Retail purchase and attitude data firm InfoScout, now a subsidiary of pricing intelligence specialist Market Track, is launching its services in the UK from January.

Jared SchrieberAcquired in July, InfoScout maintains a shopper panel covering online and brick-and-mortar purchase activity, collecting real-time purchase data across every consumer category, and offers purchase-triggered surveys. It already boasts 'America's largest purchase panel', and says that via a range of proprietary mobile apps it captures 'nearly 1 out of every 500 shopping trips made across the country'. Shoppers complete in-the-moment surveys, and the company captures more than 100 million brick-and-mortar and eCommerce receipts each year. A Business Intelligence platform makes data available in one place for shopper and consumer insights and category development professionals.

Clients in the UK will now be offered daily data updates from 'a much larger, representative panel than incumbent providers', InfoScout says, as well as 'comprehensive' data on omnichannel purchase behaviour across all in-store and online retail formats. It has already spent two years preparing to 'disrupt' the UK and other overseas markets through its Receipt Hog mobile app, which incentivizes shoppers to snap pictures of their receipts and answer surveys, and says nearly 50,000 UK consumers already upload pictures of everyday shopping and dining receipts.

CEO Jared Schrieber (pictured) comments: 'InfoScout built America's largest and most representative consumer panel to better explain why consumers buy in an omnichannel world. Our conversations with UK brands and retailers indicate a similar need for deeper, faster and more cost-effective omnichannel insights'.
