WEVO Raises Funds for Web Site Testing Tool

September 20 2017

In the US, marketing technology start-up firm WEVO has raised $1.6m in seed funding, which it will use to launch its platform for testing and improving web site conversion.

Nitzan ShaerCo-founded in 2016 by former Skype exec Nitzan Shaer, and Janet Muto, former CMO of Constant Contact, the WEVO platform uses artificial intelligence to uncover audience insight and predict conversion outcomes in just a few days, without the need for A/B tests. Users select their target audience and upload images of the page designs they'd like to test, whether they are in concept stage, live, or even competitors' pages.

Seed investors in the company include Will Graylin, Global GM of Samsung Pay; Frank Moss, former Director of the MIT Media Lab; David Chang, entrepreneur and Angel Investor; and Tom Rutledge, Head of Fixed Income at Magnetar Capital. Shaer (pictured) comments: 'We've seen digital marketers struggle to get the developer time, stakeholder approvals and design direction they need to optimize their conversion in a streamlined way. WEVO eliminates the red tape and mitigates risk by proving conversion lift before going through the standard lengthy A/B testing process'.
