Kynetec Boosts German Team

Animal health and agriculture insights firm Kynetec has appointed Nomman Ahmed as Senior Director of Insights & Consulting, based in Frankfurt, Germany.

Nomman AhmedThe firm, acquired by GfK in 2009 and bought out again in 2015 by an investor-backed management team, Kynetec employs more than 270 research professionals and has a global network of more than 80 associates and partners. Longtime NOP / GfK leader Richard Jameson joined the firm earlier this year as Executive Director of Global Custom Research.

Ahmed joins from the Kleffmann Group, where he was a member of the board responsible for amisAgriGlobe, crop protection and seed sector consulting division; and Regional Manager for Asia Pacific. Before this he worked in academia, including a spell at the Centre for International Development & Environmental Research in Giessen, Germany. He holds a PhD in Agricultural & Development Economics, a master's degree in Transition Studies and a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science & Environmental Management, all from the Justus Liebig University in Giessen.

In his new role, Ahmed will support Kynetec's syndicated teams with deeper insights from the company's rich data sources. Jameson says of the hire: 'The addition of Nomman to our Kynetec team will afford us the expertise and ability to proactively identify insights and tailor them for each client'. Hearn says the firm's 'best-in-class technologies and innovation have attracted some of the top talent in the industry'.
