Stan Greenberg Steps Down from GQR Leadership Role

October 11 2017

Democratic party pollster Stan Greenberg, Founding Partner of Greenberg Quinlan Rosner (GQR), is stepping down from his leadership role, with day-to-day management now passing to Managing Partners Anna Greenberg and Jeremy Rosner.

Stan Greenberg
Washington, DC-based GQR specializes in using data and research to inform communications strategies, 'whether for presidents of countries or presidents of corporations'. The firm will move to a new headquarters in downtown Washington, DC next year, and also has offices in London and Toronto. Greenberg (pictured) founded the firm in 1980 after a decade teaching at Yale University. In the 1980s and early 1990s, he conducted surveys for members of Congress, and advised the campaigns of Bill Clinton, Al Gore and John Kerry in the US, and former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. He and American political commentator James Carville will continue their work with non-profit organization Democracy Corps, the project they co-founded in 1999, and Greenberg will also continue his writing about social change.

His daughter Anna will now work with Rosner to handle the day-to-day management of the company, while long-time partner Al Quinlan continues to drive GQR polling programs for major campaigns nationwide. This year, GQR promoted Kristi Lowe and Elizabeth Sena to the role of Partner, added long-time DNC Chief Operating Officer Lindsey Reynolds as GQR's COO, and expanded its Digital and Data Analytics practices.
