In China, big data and AI solutions provider Baifendian Group has acquired online survey company InsightWorks, and says it want to create the country's equivalent of SurveyMonkey and Google Surveys. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Established in 2011, InsightWorks combines big data and survey data, and operates a mobile consumer Q&A community with more than three million active members. The firm has also developed several SaaS products including its DIY solution Lediaocha and Power Test tool, which offers advanced analytical modelling and report preparation for smaller organisations.
Following the deal, InsightWorks will continue to provide services under its own brand name, while Baifendian will integrate big data and AI into the former's online survey and user insight offering. Meng Su (pictured), Chairman & CEO of Baifendian Group, comments: 'InsightWorks has a forward-looking view and strong business capability. Both companies will jointly explore the innovation and change of online survey and consumer insight and be committed to providing industry users with more agile and intelligent products and applications as a way to collaboratively create China's 'SurveyMonkey' and Google Surveys'.
