Social Media Analyst Talkwalker Sold to Equity Firm

Social media listening and analytics company Talkwalker has been sold to global investment firm Marlin Equity Partners for an undisclosed sum.

Talkwalker, which is headquartered in Luxembourg with additional offices in New York City, San Francisco and Frankfurt, offers an AI-driven platform through which clients can measure and promote their brands across all communication channels. The firm monitors and anlayzes online conversations and images on social media networks, news web sites, blogs and forums in 187 languages.

The firm's founders and management will stay in lace following the deal, with a focus on accelerating product innovation and international expansion, including plans to hire around 100 new staff.
