US social media analysis firm Crimson Hexagon has broadened its portfolio with the addition of consumer insights driven by artificial intelligence.
Crimson Hexagon's platform is powered by patented technology and an in-house data library said to contain more than one trillion social media posts. Moving beyond its historical focus on social media analytics, the company is now delivering consumer insights driven by both its patented artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms and its clients' knowledge and expertise. The service combines the firm's collection of social media images and text with corporate-held and public data, to help clients understand their customers.
The service is built on a data set of more than 160 million photos processed per day, offering the ability to recognize not just logos, but also scenes, objects and actions. In addition, the firm has more than one million AI-powered recommendations run per day for automated consumer insights; and the firm has added new data source coverage including for Instagram, Reddit and Tencent.
CEO Stephanie Newby (pictured) explains: 'Only by truly understanding their consumer can global brands deliver transformational experiences and innovations that drive successful business outcomes. Social media is an important piece of the puzzle, but enterprises are trying to quickly and accurately complete this puzzle by blending social data with other data sets. Our AI-powered consumer insights platform is helping a record number of them'.
