US digital and branding agency Trone Brand Energy has launched a full service firm called Trone Research + Consulting (TRC), led by former CMI President and COO Scott Layne.
Based in High Point, North Carolina, TRC will offer brand health audits, customer insights, claims validation, market potential evaluation, needs assessment and retention optimization, for clients in sectors including animal health, retail, telecoms, hospitality and non-profit. Additionally, the new firm is working with global brands seeking entrance into the US marketplace.
Layne (pictured) joins with more than 25 years of experience with MR agencies including fifteen years at M/A/R/C Research, and senior roles at Directions Research, Bellomy Research, The Marketing Workshop and CMI. His work has spanned qual and quant in both B2B and consumer markets.
Commenting on the launch, Doug Barton, CEO of Trone Brand Energy and TRC, explained: 'As the industry has evolved, we found our clients were requesting us to do more specialized analytics and market research.
