Dentsu Aegis Network Names Chief Data Officer

In London, Dentsu Aegis Network has appointed EE's Head of Digital Products, Maddie Armitage as its Chief Data Officer for UK & Ireland.

Maddie ArmitageArmitage (pictured) has spent the past more than two years at EE, prior to which she was Head of Digital Transformation for British Gas and Global Head of Digital Sales and Service for cloud company Rackspace. Earlier, she held senior digital roles at Sky and Virgin Media, having previously been Head of eService and CRM at T-Mobile UK.

In her new role, Armitage will oversee the network's strategy for data and analytics, working with all its agency brands to improve the products and services they offer clients. This includes its data-driven consumer insights and analytics specialist Merkle, and the continued rollout of the people-based insights, planning and activation platform, M1.

She will report into Matthew Hook, Chief Strategy Officer, UK & Ireland, while also collaborating closely with the EMEA data team, led by Lauren Walker, Chief Data Officer EMEA.
