In the US, housing market intelligence provider Metrostudy has launched a 'School District Report', to help clients understand local populations, deliver relevant services and plan for the future.
Metrostudy provides primary and secondary market information to the housing and residential construction and aligned industries. The new quarterly School District Report combines its proprietary new home construction research with intelligence on local populations, and has been developed to help school administrators understand their current and future local populations, by visualising specified district(s) with population reports, maps, and relevant data on-demand. The tool's mapping technology can build five- or ten-year plans for enrolment forecasting, attendance zone planning, staffing and infrastructure planning, as well as facility location analysis.
Andy Reid (pictured), President of Metrostudy and Chief Data Officer of parent company Hanley Wood, comments: 'Single family housing is the driver for most suburban school district enrollment growth. Understanding the single family housing market is critical in predicting enrollment growth and further assisting school districts with forecasting staffing, revenue projections and facility needs. The quarterly data will enable districts to make adjustments to facility plans and revenue projections'.
