Conviva Buy Adds Social Media to Streaming TV Measure

Social media video analytics specialist Delmondo is to be acquired by Conviva, a real-time measurement and intelligence platform for streaming TV which will now launch a new service combining expertise and technology from the two firms.

Conviva Social InsightsConviva is based in Silicon Valley, and provides insight into the consumer streaming experience across all screens and applications at scale via its Video AI Platform, tracking 50 billion streams per year across 3 billion applications and 200 million users. Delmondo measures video consumption across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and Snapchat, for use by media and entertainment companies looking to grow viewing and engagement while maximizing revenue.

The new offer, Conviva Social Insights, is billed as the first solution unifying real-time census-level streaming TV intelligence from apps and the web with content and audience intelligence from social media platforms.

Conviva CEO Bill Demas calls the offer 'the industry's most comprehensive video intelligence solution', and says streaming TV publishers will now 'be empowered with the intelligence needed to successfully distribute premium content on social platforms'. Nick Cicero, CEO and founder of Delmondo, comments: 'this exciting new partnership with Conviva allows us to provide our customers 360 degree visibility into drivers of the viewer journey across platforms'.
