Research and advisory firm Information Services Group (ISG) has launched a data-as-a-service benchmarking solution called ISG InformX, which taps into its IT data repository to deliver instant intelligence on how an enterprise is performing against its peers.
Founded by Chairman and CEO Michael Connors in 2006, and headquartered in Stamford, CT, ISG now employs more than 1,300 professionals operating across more than twenty countries. Since it was set up, the group has acquired TPI, Compass, STA Consulting, and more recently IT trends analyst Saugatuck Technology, subscription-based research, advisory and benchmarking firm Experton Group AG, and outsourcing advisory firm Alsbridge Holdings.
A companion offering to ISG's traditional benchmarking and data offerings, InformX has been developed to deliver instant market comparisons on IT cost, quality and productivity, providing CIOs, CFOs, other C-level execs and their teams with directional insights into their enterprise's IT performance against market and industry indicators. Users can find out how other organizations are using their IT assets; how their spend compares with that of their competitors; and if they are spending the right amount in the right places.
Kathy Rudy (pictured), Partner and Global Leader at ISG Data & Analytics, comments: 'Our ground-breaking data-as-a-service offering gives enterprises a clear view into how well their IT organizations compare with their peers. Through a series of easy-to-read dashboards, users are able to gain valuable insights into the right amount of spend for their organization in major cost areas such as hardware, software, people and outsourced services'.
