'Happy MR' Team Join PureSpectrum

January 22 2019

In the US, online sample marketplace PureSpectrum has acquired boutique marketing agency and podcaster Happy Market Research, formed last year by Jamin Brazil, co-founder of MR tech firm Decipher. Brazil joins with his team of three, and becomes President of PureSpectrum.

Jamin BrazilBrazil (pictured) and Jayme Plunkett founded Decipher in 2000 and then sold it to FocusVision fifteen years later, with Brazil becoming FocusVision's CEO. Earlier, he worked for MACRO Consulting as VP of Research, and founded data management firm WebConstruction.com. He set up Fresno-based Happy Market Research last summer, to help companies use market research to 'generate outsized returns and growth' and offer free podcasts exploring the state of the MR industry.

Brazil, who is joined at PureSpectrum by his Happy MR team of William Van Heusen, Chueyee Yang and Chloe Quintana, is charged with helping the company's expansion plans, while continuing to bring MR software solutions to market and producing his regular Happy Market Research podcasts.

PureSpectrum told MrWeb it sees the podcast as an independent voice and welcomes guests, regardless of any competition in the market. Michael McCrary, founder and CEO of PureSpectrum, adds: 'We are adding new customers weekly and our existing relationships are expanding because we are investing in the necessary resources for an outstanding customer experience. By adding Jamin Brazil to our team, we add proven industry expertise that will continue to add value to both customers and staff'.

Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
