EDO Hires Scott Grunther as EVP Media Analytics

In the US, media measurement and analytics company EDO has hired former Kantar Millward Brown exec Scott Grunther as Executive Vice President of its Media Analytics business.

Scott GruntherWith headquarters in Los Angeles and New York City, EDO applies data science and behavioral metrics to help its clients - marketers, TV networks and movie studios - generate value from their creative efforts and media investments. In particular, it focuses on insights into the effectiveness of TV ads in driving the types of consumer engagement most closely tied to purchase activity. At the end of last year, the company raised $12m in a Series A round of financing, to scale up its national sales and analytical coverage, technical talent and new product development.

Grunther (pictured) joins from WPP's Kantar Millward Brown, where as EVP, Media & Digital he led the National Advertiser practice team of 45, involved with managing digital and cross-platform ad effectiveness research. Prior to this, he led the Media practice for Standard Media Index; was SVP of Media at Ipsos MediaCT, managing a team of 30 researchers and account managers; was SVP and General Manager, Media Products for social media TV analytics firm Bluefin Labs; and held senior roles at Nielsen and IAG Research.
