MRBA Reports 'Best Ever' Auction Result

April 11 2019

UK industry charity the Market Research Benevolent Association (MRBA) has reported the results of its 'best ever' auction, raising £9,313 and smashing its target of £7,000. All funds raised will be used to help industry workers who have fallen on hard times.

Jennifer RobertonThe MRBA is funded by donations from across the market research sector, and since 1977 has provided financial support and advice to UK-based colleagues who work or have worked in any aspect of market research. The annual auction is its most important fundraising event, and this year, lots included items such as the opportunity to bid for SampleNinja founder Tariq Mirza to cook dinner for six at the winner's home; dinner at former Gordon Ramsay chef Clare Smyth's restaurant Core; a five-day stay at a farmhouse in Percy, France; 'front row' tickets to watch Chelsea at Stamford Bridge; and a bottle of House of Commons Speaker Bercow's 10-year old single malt.

MRBA Trustee Jennifer Roberton comments: 'Throughout the year, we work tirelessly to raise money for the MRBA in order to be able to continue to provide individuals working in MR much needed vital financial support to those in distress. The MRBA Auction was just one event that has both raised awareness and funds, to help those in times of crisis,'

'I've seen first-hand how this charity supports those in the most need and demonstrates first hand our kind and nurturing industry at its best. We're trying to raise awareness for our charity and can only do that with your support. Whether it's you we help or someone in the industry you know who has financial difficulties because of an illness, injury or other personal problem. We want to help.'
