Clarivate Opens Fifth Office in China

April 16 2019

Innovation insights and analytics provider Clarivate has opened an office in Guangzhou, China - its fifth in the country.

David LiuClarivate uses insights and analytics-based services and content to help clients quickly develop new ideas, and was acquired from Thomson Reuters in 2016. Earlier this year it was merged with former IHS Markit boss Jerre Stead's recently launched acquisition firm Churchill Capital Corp.

As an international trade center in South China, Guangzhou was selected for both its proximity to Clarivate clients and because the city serves as a center for innovation and development in South China. The new Guangzhou office, which joins those in Beijing, Shanghai, Taiwan and Hong Kong, will offer local customers access to the full portfolio of Clarivate Analytics' innovation-focused products and services.

David Liu (pictured), EVP and MD for Asia Pacific, comments: 'Our new Guangzhou office will ensure that we are able to work closely with our customers in South China, to accelerate their innovation strategies. It also reaffirms our long-term commitment to the Chinese market and marks another milestone in our business expansion in China'.
