ACTITO Buys Customer Data Software Firm SmartFocus

Belgium-based marketing automation firm ACTITO has acquired UK customer intelligence software provider SmartFocus for an undisclosed sum.

Benoît De NayerLondon-based SmartFocus, which was previously owned by online campaign manager Emailvision, offers an SaaS digital marketing platform serving a variety of sectors including retail and eCommerce, media, automotive, transportation and leisure. The firm's solutions integrate off-line and online data, campaign and performance management to deliver communications which it claims increase campaign conversion rates and improve customer insight.

According to ACTITO, the acquisition supports its own plans for geographic expansion and growth. Benoît De Nayer (pictured), co-CEO and founder of ACTITO, comments: 'The acquisition of SmartFocus reinforces our position in the market as the European leader in the martech sector. Our goal is to offer marketers an alternative to US marketing cloud solutions by better adapting to the needs and constraints of European privacy regulations'.
