Comscore Bows Video Metrix Multi-Platform in Malaysia

Comscore has announced the Malaysian roll-out of its Video Metrix Multi-Platform service, which provides a single, unduplicated measure of digital video consumption across smartphone, tablet and desktop devices.

Kedar GavaneVideo Metrix Multi-Platform taps into the Comscore Unified Digital Measurement (UDM) hybrid measurement approach, which uses panels alongside direct measurement from video publishers via tagging. The launch in Malaysia includes mobile video reporting for YouTube and its Partner Channels, which Comscore says is beneficial both for advertisers who want to reach specific audiences, and for content producers who have cultivated a loyal following.

Users in Malaysia will be able to quantify total, incremental and unduplicated viewing across screens, while gaining a 'holistic view' of audience viewing for owned and competitive video content. They will also gain an understanding of how engagement differs across platforms.
