In Australia, data intelligence company Potentiate has conditionally acquired Vision Critical Australia for an undisclosed sum.
Vision Critical Australia specialises in collecting and applying consent data. According to the firms, the deal will help brands strengthen customer relationships, while enabling Potentiate to expand and collaborate in additional markets around the world.
Upon completion of the acquisition, the combined businesses will operate as Potentiate under the leadership of former Vision Critical EVP, Research and Partner Solutions Peter Harris (pictured) as CEO, while former Potentiate CEO Henry Cheang will become Chairman.
Harris says that the deal brings together two teams, comprising experts in their specific areas of customer intelligence, to create a global consultancy business. Cheang adds: 'We're passionate about understanding human behaviour and helping brands build stronger relationships with their customers. When the opportunity came with Vision Critical to add their online communities and agile approach to research to our existing services, we jumped at the chance.'
