US-based video streaming guide Reelgood is launching a measurement division for OTT (over-the-top TV), and brought in former Nielsen SVP of Global Measurement, Mark Green to lead it.
The new Reelgood Insights business provides real-time behavioral data tracking the performance of OTT platforms and their content libraries, popularity and churn rates - using a panel of 'millions of individuals', across platforms from Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and HBO to smaller players like IMDb TV and Sony Crackle. Data can be split by day and hour; show / movie; genre; or talent.
Green (pictured) joins the firm with more than 30 years of experience including two and a half years as Chief Strategy Officer at Nielsen, two as COO at 4C Insights, and spells at TVision, Simulmedia and MediaCom.
