Nielsen Partner OpenSlate Expands in Asia Pacific

November 15 2019

Content ratings provider and brand safety specialist OpenSlate, part owned by Nielsen, has appointed Poppy Hill as Managing Director for APAC, as it expands in the region. She is based in Sydney.

Poppy HillOpenSlate promises advertisers a consistent means of classifying content, measuring quality and assessing the brand suitability of its placements, and currently measures and scores more than 600 million ad-supported videos. Nielsen announced a strategic alliance with the company and acquired a minority stake in September.

Hill (pictured) has spent the last seven years developing programmatic marketplaces and commercial strategies in senior positions at Multi-Channel Network, Network 10, and most recently at InMobi, where she was Head of Programmatic, responsible for the Australia and New Zealand marketplace. She comments: 'I'm excited to be joining OpenSlate to steer the APAC business to its next level of growth. The recent Nielsen alliance ensures that our buyers have access to more control over their video inventory, which is imperative. Brands are becoming increasingly focused on content suitability and contextual relevance to ensure video inventory is a good fit for their brand'.

Company President Brian Quinn adds: 'As the demand for OpenSlate from enterprise and global brands continues to grow, we are reinforcing our worldwide infrastructure and talent. We are thrilled that Poppy is joining the team and we are confident that her knowledge and experience will help drive success in the APAC market'.
