In the US, software business ASG has acquired GatherUp, which helps businesses and brands deliver a better customer experience through customer feedback, net promoter scores and online reviews. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Founded in 2013 by digital marketers Don Campbell, Mike Blumenthal and Thomas Hasch, GatherUp helps businesses gather feedback from two-minute 'conversations' with each customer after every experience, and convert these conversations into data to help drive improvements, bolster reputation and fuel growth.
GatherUp is headquartered in San Jose, CA, with a team of just over 20 spread across offices in Minneapolis, MN and three other countries. After the acquisition CEO Aaron Weiche will continue in his role; and GatherUp will join ASG MarTech, a group of seven marketing technology businesses, expanding its reviews and reputation management business.
In addition, Alice Song has joined ASG MarTech as COO.
Jake Brodsky, co-founder and Head of Corporate Development at ASG, comments: 'GatherUp makes it easier for brands to listen to customers and drive feedback, reviews, and positive experiences. Along with Grade.us (a review management software firm acquired in 2018), GatherUp is leading ASG MarTech's efforts to create industry leading, comprehensive solutions in the customer experience space'.
