New Funds for Sales Benchmark Index

January 10 2020

In New York, management consulting firm Sales Benchmark Index (SBI) has received an undisclosed amount of investment from private equity firm CIP Capital, which it will use to accelerate growth and double its headcount during the next 12-18 months.

Matt SharrersFounded in 2006, Dallas, Texas-based SBI provides consulting, insights, research and advisory services and access to its own benchmarking data to clients and enterprise customers across North America and Europe. The firm's Revenue Growth Methodology benchmarking method has been developed to help enterprise clients accelerate growth; and SBI also assists its clients by aligning the functional strategies of sales, pricing, marketing, product management and human resources to the external marketplace.

New funding will also be used to pursue acquisitions that will help expand SBI's practice areas within the sales and marketing function. The SBI management team will continue to lead the firm during its next phase of growth and retain a 'significant ownership stake' alongside CIP Capital.

Matt Sharrers (pictured), CEO of SBI, comments: 'Our partnership with CIP Capital allows SBI to continue investing in new solutions and capabilities for our clients. The entire SBI team is excited about this next phase of growth and remains committed to our strategy of helping clients accelerate revenue and transform their business models'.
