Saudi Cinema Launch for Comscore

Comscore has expanded its box office measurement service to cover all theatrical film releases across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), following the latter's recent opening of commercial cinemas after a 35-year 'pause'.

opening up - Saudi Arabia's 1400km-long Highway 40The measurement firm now partners with film distributors and exhibitors in 68 countries worldwide, providing ticket and movie analytics services to help marketers and theaters optimize ticket sales and improve efficiencies across their business. In KSA, measurement will include 100 percent of all box office revenue and admissions from each of the newly built cinemas.

Comscore already tracks box office in the UAE, Lebanon, Iraq, Oman and Kuwait, and eight months ago announced it was expanding operations into West & Southern Africa, including Nigeria's 'Nollywood' film industry.
