Forecast5 Analytics Buys Geovisual Analyst GuideK12

In the US, Forecast5 Analytics has acquired geovisual analytics tool developer GuideK12. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Minnesota-based GuideK12 enables education decision makers to explore and analyze school district data by adding a geographic and visual dimension to student and community information. According to the firm, by 'visualizing information spatially', decisions on everything from boundary analysis, and policy changes to resource planning and forecasting enrolments can be 'faster and more effective'.

The deal adds to Forecast5 Analytics' suite of decision support software, which it supplies to more than 2,000 public sector clients in 34 states. Founder and CEO/President Michael English (pictured) comments: 'Acquiring GuideK12 is a great strategic move for Forecast5. It enables us to optimize our geovisual offerings by tapping into the domain expertise GuideK12's team brings to the table.
