Paris-based OpinionWay Group has announced the opening of a new strategic regional hub in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, to be led by Florence de Bigault, who joins the Group as MD of Sub-Saharan Africa.
OpinionWay has provided coverage of Africa's Maghreb region since 2016 via offices in Casablanca, Tunis and Algiers, and says it has carried out studies in 30 African countries. The firm also opened in Poland in March, with offices in Krakow and Warsaw.
The new Ivorian headquarters will work closely with OpinionWay France and Maghreb, mobilizing local expertise and supported by Casablanca and Paris. De Bigault (pictured) is responsible for its commercial development and the implementation of innovative hybrid solutions. Her experience includes a number of years teaching in Africa, followed by joining the FMCG division at Burke: she later joined Ipsos France and worked as Deputy Director of the Qual department, subsequently leading a dedicated cell for customers developing their business in Africa. In 2017, she moved to the Abidjan office as Director of Ipsos agencies in French-speaking Africa. She holds a DESS from the Higher School of Business - IAE in Grenoble and a DEA from Ethnology University Grenoble III.
Group President Hugues Cazenave comments: 'For several years now, we have been investing in the tremendous potential of Africa and supporting our major clients in their development strategies on the continent. With this new hub in Abidjan, which aims to spread throughout the region (Ivory Coast, Senegal, Cameroon, Ghana, etc.), the OpinionWay Group confirms its internationalization roadmap and takes a decisive step in its history by affirming its capacity to intervene in a region full of resources and talents'.
