Nielsen's Pike to Lead YouGov Esports & Gaming

Nicole Pike, former MD of Nielsen's video gaming analysis business Esports, has joined YouGov in the newly created role of Global Sector Head of Esports & Gaming.

Pike (pictured) joins in the US after thirteen years at Nielsen, most recently as MD of Nielsen Esports, Games and SuperData. She joined the division in 2017 as Esports Global Research & Product Lead / VP of Games Consulting. Earlier, she worked for Nielsen's innovation division BASES.

In her new role, created especially for her, Pike is charged with helping shape the future of YouGov's analytics in the esports and gaming sectors. Frank Saez, Global Head of Sector Experts, comments: 'We've always had the tools for our esports and gaming clients, but Nicole knows better than anyone else how the sector can use them - and how we can uniquely develop them for the industry. This is a big appointment for both of us and it really sends a message about the confidence we have in YouGov's future in the world of gaming and esports'.
