Rapid Growth for GlobaLexicon

September 25 2020

Market research and healthcare translation specialist GlobaLexicon has reported strong growth in the first half of the year, with revenue up 30% and 21 new hires.

Daniela ToledoThe appointments bring the company's headcount to 106. Nine people have joined in-house linguistic, QA, and MR teams, and eleven Project Management functions at various levels of seniority, while Paul Williams joined the management team in April.

The company says its project management hires were made across the Seville, London, and Chicago offices and the other hires - including specialist market research teams which continue to grow as clients outsource key language service tasks to them - across London and Seville. More recruitment is planned over the coming months.

GlobaLexicon, which is headquartered in Camden High Street, London, has also launched a number of new services over the past six months, including a refined set of machine learning enabled translation solutions and a social media listening offer. Upgrades to existing services including subtitling, voice-over, in-language coding and link-check have also strengthened the firm's position.

Revenue growth, which is slightly ahead of last year's already healthy result, came both from a strong uptick in volume from current clients and a number of new, high-profile client wins, the firm said. MD Daniela Toledo (pictured) comments: 'Our team's continued focus on high quality and consultative service, particularly during this challenging period, continues to pay off and we are proud of the trust our clients place in GlobaLexicon as they continue to increase their spend with us'.

Strategy & Finance Director Kristian Smith adds: 'The team has worked extremely hard over the past two quarters and we have continued to push forward our client-focused initiatives. Staff well-being has of course been a priority and we have completed significant upgrades to our London, Seville, and Chicago offices, giving the team brand new spaces to feel proud of returning to'.
