Privacy Firm Dataguise Sold to PKWARE

In the US, data security specialist PKWARE has acquired Dataguise, which offers privacy compliance software allowing businesses to discover and protect personal data stored across IT systems and environments. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Spencer KupfermanDataguise helps companies find sensitive information across endpoints, servers, SaaS solutions and public, private or hybrid cloud environments. According to the firm, this enables enterprise users to manage personal data, minimize risks associated with it, prevent data breaches and protect sensitive customer information. The acquisition will expand PKWARE's global footprint, as it continues to operate Dataguise's existing offices in the US, India, Europe and Canada.
