Market Logic Gets New CEO and Funding

Berlin-based insights platform developer Market Logic Software has appointed Stefan Ropers as Chief Executive Officer, replacing co-founder Kay Iversen who will join the Board of Directors. The firm has also raised an undisclosed amount of funding.

The company's flagship Market Insights Platform, powered by cognitive computing, generates insights and learns continuously from data. Alongside its research management solutions, Market Logic offers artificial intelligence for insights management, with specialist machine learning models for the consumer-packaged goods, healthcare, finance and insurance sectors. The firm, which also has an office in Chicago, employs more than 300 software developers, data scientists and marketing professionals. New funding has been led by existing investors Summit Partners, GENUI and Sycamore, and will be used to accelerate company growth.

Ropers (pictured) joins after a career which has included eleven years at Microsoft, latterly as Chief Commercial Officer, Central & Eastern Europe; and he also worked at Adobe as Managing Director, Central Europe. Additionally, he founded business tech advisory firm element 42; co-founded audio business trivum technologies; and was a consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Ropers will be supported by new CFO Dirk Wolf, who joins after eight years at search and content SaaS platform Searchmetrics; previously held senior roles in telecoms and media at Telcast Media Group and Energis; and co-founded provider24. Olaf Lenzmann will continue to serve as the company's Chief Technology Officer.
