Snowplow Adds $10m to Series A Funding Round

London-based behavioral data management specialist Snowplow Analytics has raised $10m in a Series A2 round of funding, which it will use for expansion in the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific, and to accelerate its product roadmap.

Founded in 2012, Snowplow enables users to collect event data from all their platforms and products. This is delivered to a client's data warehouse, where it can be combined with other data sets, and used to drive business intelligence tools, custom reports or machine learning models. In addition, a solution called Snowplow Insights offers a fully managed version of the firm's open source software, providing data teams with access to the customizable data pipeline via the cloud.

The new funding was led by tech investor Atlantic Bridge, with participation from existing investor MMC Ventures, adding to the firm's 2019 £4m Series A round of funding. Snowplow CEO and co-founder Alex Dean (pictured) comments: '2020 was a challenging year for everybody - but at Snowplow, we saw more and more businesses realizing the need to unify customer behaviour across all platforms, in a way that isn't dictated by packaged vendors. Having maintained our growth curve through last year, we are excited to accelerate our global expansion with this new funding'.
